First Steps Babywear Lanka is currently operating over 1650 machines as well as a cutting-edge design studio, dedicated fabric sourcing and storage warehouses across the island.

• From humble beginnings of 60 machines in a single factory in 2018, we have expanded to 7 joint venture sewing facilities in multiple locations housing over 1650 machines, a design studio, dedicated fabric sourcing and large warehouses for storage. All our production facilities are led by the main factory located in Panadura where cutting, printing and embroidery operations are carried out.
• Our team has grown to over 3500 workers with a turnover of approx. 25 million garments annually.
• 2 Factories Certified under Green technology.
• A dedicated Printing unit with 3 tables, semi auto circular spider printing machines and curing facilities, which enables us to facilitate most of our garment printing needs.
• Our embroidery facility consists of four. 20 head embroidery machines and two 18 head machines which have the capacity of producing varied embroidery applications including quilting large and small frame designs.
• We have deployed robust merchandising and design teams in both India and the UK.

Our joint venture factories are located in Medirigiriya and Galenbindunuwewa of the North Central Province, Ratnapura and Yatiyantota in the Sabaragamuwa Province, Uragasmanhandiya in the Southern Province, Monaragala and Medagama in the Uva Province and Pallekele in the Central Province.
